Apricus residential systems come in a wide range of sizes, with bottom and top element boosting options, several different sized collectors to suit any household, in any climate.
Apricus solar collectors use high efficiency twin-glass evacuated tubes to absorb solar energy and convert it into usable heat. Freeze protected heat pipes transfer heat from within the evacuated tube up to an insulated copper header pipe through which a heat transfer liquid is circulated.
All solar hot water systems should be sized to suit an individuals house hold hot water usage, how ever Apricus has given a rough indication of the system size that you should need shown below:
- 1-3 Bedrooms 22-20 tubes with a 250 Litre tank
- 3-4 Bedrooms 30 tubes with a 315 Litre tank
- 4+ Bedrooms 40 tubes with a 400 Litre tank

Element
These tanks take a 3.6 kW bolt-on element — Hot Water Element Bolt-on Incoloy Sickle 3600W. Before ordering, note whether your element sits at the bottom or the middle of the tank. If you are not sure, send us a photo and we will confirm the right one before you buy.
