Senztek Solar Hot Water Controllers & Sensors
Senztek controllers are fitted to a very large share of Australian solar hot water systems, often badged as something else entirely — Apricus, Edson, AAE, Bosch, Endless Solar, SolarArk, ZEN, Rotex, Reclaim and Chromagen units are frequently Senztek underneath.
If your system isn't working — no hot water, wrong temperatures, or the pump not running — the controller is often the cause.
✔ Solar circulation controllers (SolaStat)
These manage circulation between the roof collectors and the tank using temperature sensors. This is the controller most systems have.
- 1-2 sensor — systems with a roof sensor and a tank sensor
- 1-3 sensor — systems with roof, tank and a third sensor
- 2-3 sensor — flexible, works with either setup
If you're unsure, the 2-3 controller is usually the safest replacement.
✔ Booster element controllers (AlphaStat)
These manage the electric heating element, controlling when the system boosts using electricity rather than the sun. Fitted to systems with electric backup heating.
✔ Heat pump controllers (Reclaim)
The Reclaim Heat Pump Controller V1.1 is a Senztek controller, supplied pre-programmed with the tank sensor and RJ45 cable fitted. It suits Reclaim CO₂ heat pump systems only — it is not a substitute for a SolaStat or AlphaStat.
✔ Replacement boards
Where only the circuit board has failed and the enclosure is sound, a replacement board is the cheaper fix. We carry boards for the SolaStat ST Plus, SolaSmart Plus and SolaSmart Lite ranges.
✔ Sensors
20m roof sensors and tank sensors to suit the Senztek range, including the versions badged for Apricus, AAE, Edson, Bosch, Endless Solar, SolarArk, ZEN and Rotex systems. Free thermal heat paste is included with most sensors and controllers.
✔ Complete pump stations
Pump station assemblies with a Senztek SolaStat controller and full enclosure — the simplest fix when the pump, controller and valves have all reached end of life together.
