Replacement Solar Hot Water Tank Sensor to suit Apricus Senztek Controllers
The Senztek Tank sensor suits the full Senztek SolaStat, SolaSmart, AlphaStat range.
If you are just replacing the tank sensor on your system, we recommend you check the sensor port or immersion sleeve for moisture. If there is moisture, the sensor port or immersion sleeve will need to be replaced. This is mostly a problem in the older stainless steel hot water tanks. The original sensor port develops pin holes because it is the weaker metal.
The image above is of the original sensor. The actual product supplied may differ to this but is an appropriate replacement part for your system. Images of the solar hot water controllers and original sensors are included in the description of products to assist you to find the appropriate product for your system (controller is not included in sale price).

Which Senztek controller do you have?
Senztek made several controller families, and the sensor you need depends on which one is fitted to your system. Check the badge on the front of the controller:
- SolaStat / SolaStat-Plus — the most common solar circulation controllers, with a digital display. Available as 1-2 sensor, 1-3 sensor and 2-3 sensor versions.
- SolaStat ST Plus — fitted to Apricus and several rebadged systems. Available as 1-2 sensor and 1-3 sensor versions.
- SolaSmart / SolaSmart Plus — the later range, some fitted with a separate touch display. Available as the standard SolaSmart Plus, and in Edson and SolarArk versions.
- SolaSmart Lite — used by Heavenly Solar and Solar Ark. Now discontinued.
- AlphaStat-Plus — controls the electric booster element rather than solar circulation. View the AlphaStat-Plus.
The numbers in the model name are how many sensors the controller uses: a 1-2 runs two sensors (roof and tank), a 1-3 runs three, and a 2-3 will work with either.
Not sure which you have? Email sales@solarhotwaterparts.com.au a photo of the front of your controller and of the plug on the old sensor, and we will confirm exactly which sensor you need.
