Not every controller fault means a whole new controller. Often the board, relay, cover or fuse can be replaced on its own — cheaper, faster, and no rewiring.

✔ Board or whole controller?

Replace the board when the housing and wiring are sound and the fault is electronic — dead display, failed relay, no pump output. Replace the whole controller when the housing is damaged, the model is obsolete, or the wiring terminals are corroded or burnt.
