This is the seal used in the Rheem Union L fitting (SHWP0314). A Union L takes two of them — one each side — so order a pair if you are resealing a complete union.

When to replace
A weep at the union is almost always a perished O-ring rather than a failed union body. If the brass is sound, new seals are the cheap fix. If the union itself is damaged or the sealing face is scored, replace the whole Union L kit — it comes with both O-rings.
Fitting note
Seat the O-ring fully in its groove and lubricate lightly with water before assembly. Do not use petroleum-based grease, which degrades the rubber.
