Replacement 2.5m Solar Hot Water Roof Sensor to suit the Hills Esteem ii Solar Hot Water Solar Controller
This sensor replaces the original Hills roof sensor (shown in the reference image below).
The original Hills plug-style connector is no longer manufactured.
All modern replacements now use bare-wire connection and we include Scotchlok joiners, which is the correct installation method.

Installation notes
The replacement sensor connects directly to the existing sensor cable using the supplied Scotchlok joiners. The original white clip connector used on older Hills systems is no longer in production and is not required for installation.
Apply the supplied heat paste inside the sensor port, insert the new sensor, and join the wires with the joiners.
Important
If you are replacing a roof sensor, please check the circulation pump.
A pump can run but fail to circulate water. Loss of circulation causes the collector to overheat and is the most common reason roof sensors fail.
If the pump is older than five years or if the system has had repeated faults, a complete pump station may be a better long-term solution.
