It does this by "cutting out" the electric element booster so the sun can generate the hot water, when the sun goes down and you use the stored hot water the Robertshaw automatically resets and allows the booster to function as a normal electric element.

SOLAR SOLAHART BOOSTED HOT WATER THERMOSTAT ROBERTSHAW 50-70°C - PART# ST1301133, Replaces EWT1L2S / SH & SA SERIES, EWT1L2S-202, EWT1L2SH202, EWT1L2S-203, EWT1L2SA203

This item is shipped directly from the manufacturer and delivery timeframes vary.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0534/5017/8711/products/Rheem_Edwards_Solagart_thermostat_kit_LG_6f665635-b6fa-4b0c-af90-471463f3f009.jpg?v=1629166030
https://solarhotwaterparts.com.au/products/rheem-solahart-edwards-thermostat-conversion-kit-robertshaw
